I can't believe that it has been 20 years!! Still here. I'm married with 2 kids (18 and 14). Loving life. Back working on another degree at UOP. Life is good. Im not sure if I will make the reunion, will try hard though. Take care all send me an email. Karla

Sorry I haven't signed the guest book or RSVP'd sooner but I've spent the last 7 years being held hostage by an underground Iclandic insurgent group. Only yesterday was I able to overtake the three guards holding watch over me and escape through a sewer pipe only to then have to swim 192 miles to the south eastern coast of Greenland where I was then required to hump167 miles through tundra until I reached Ostgronland where I was immediately detained and arrested for for entering the country illegally and travelling on an expired passport. After 18 hours of incarceration I was allowed one phone call but I didn't have a quarter so they me use the internet to email my family but I didn't have anyones email address. I found this site and thought maybe one of my old calss of '88 pals could retain counsel for me in time to be out of jail in October to attend the reunion. I've enjoyed reading what all of you are up to, and am looking forward to visiting with you in October! My parents still live in Bakersfield, but my husband and I will be staying at the Resident Inn so that we can be within walking distance to the reunion on Saturday. We'll be attending the football game and after-party on Friday, then we'll bring our kids to the Saturday family event. Can't wait til the Saturday night "official" reunion!! After 20 years, I feel worldly, knowledgeable and experienced on many different subjects from travels to charities and you know what, I am nervous to go to my 20 year reunion! I left Bakersfield to see the world and go to college the day after I graduated in June 1988 and have not returned since! So all those high school memories both good and bad are still with me and I have to say I am very nervous and excited to come back. I sincerely hope this is going to be an exciting reunion since it is going to be my first time back to Bakersfield and H.H.S. You know what I remember about my senior year, the senior chant! â??We are seniors, We are great, We are the class of 88!â?� lol I still sing it every once in a while, some things just seem to stick with ya. Question for anybody: What about teachers and staff that worked at H.H.S. in 1988, they should be able to come as well. My art teacher Mrs. Polsen (I think that was her name) was such a big influence in my life and I hope that she is there! How would we go about inviting staff and teachers from 1988?
